KiteJump

Surfr alternative: keep and view all your kite sessions for free

You record with Surfr or WOO and want to look back at your jumps – how high, how long, where on the water – all in one place and without a subscription? Here is how to keep all your sessions.

What KiteJump does

KiteJump collects all your kite sessions in one place and shows them for free: every jump with height, airtime and distance, on the map and as a 3D flight path, plus a logbook with statistics, personal records and spot leaderboards. Your history comes with you:

Import your sessions in three steps

One session right now

  1. Open Garmin Connect in a browser and pick a kite session.
  2. Gear icon at the top right → “Export Original”.
  3. Upload the file on kitejump.de or in the Android app.

All sessions at once

  1. Request your full data export from Garmin.
  2. Garmin emails you a link to a ZIP file.
  3. Upload the ZIP to KiteJump: only kite sessions are imported, duplicates are skipped.

Questions

Can I keep my Surfr sessions?

Yes. Export them as FIT files from Garmin Connect (one by one or as a full Garmin data export) and upload them to KiteJump. Every jump with height, airtime and distance stays viewable – free.

Does KiteJump cost anything?

No. Viewing, importing, statistics and records are free and without ads.

Which recordings does KiteJump read jumps from?

From Surfr (old and new versions), WOO recorded via Garmin and the KiteJump watch app.

Does KiteJump replace the app on my watch?

Not completely: something still has to record the session. That can be Surfr, WOO or the KiteJump watch app, which is currently in beta.

KiteJump is an independent project and not affiliated with Surfr, WOO or Garmin.
